OUTREACH ACTIVITIES
On this page, I have documented a few of the jobs I have had/currently have that have provided me with a variety of skills and knowledge, while also forming connections with members in the community. I have also mentioned two of my volunteer experiences that have helped me better serve and be a part of my community.
Job Experience
Dolce Vita Italian Bistro
I have worked at Dolce Vita as a hostess and waitress since around the time they opened in 2018. I started in my senior year of high school and have worked here throughout college. My job responsibilities here as a hostess include: greeting customers, seating customers, taking carry-out orders, managing payments, finding solutions for conflict, keeping the entrance area clean, and more. My responsibilities as a waitress include: answering questions about the menu, making sure customers are having a preferred dining experience, serving food and beverages, taking orders and making side salads, cleaning up the sections assigned to me, and more. I have formed connections with the regulars that come to dine here as well as the owners who are like a second family to my coworkers and I. I have loved working here and ensuring that our customers enjoy their dining experience.
YMCA
I worked at the YMCA for four summers (May-August 2017-2020) as a camp counselor. During these times, I had my own group of about 12-16 kids that I was responsible for in terms of their safety as well as entertainment. I would come up with group activities and games that everyone would enjoy and encourage participation. I would hear their suggestions and pick different times to engage in that activity. On Friday of every week, I would also bring my group popsicles, rewarding their kind manners and positive attitudes. I went on to babysit for some of the families after I was no longer working there; it was special to see the trust they had in me.

August 2019
Allure Nails Spa
I worked at this nails spa during the summer of 2021 from June-August. I would go here to get services done and the owner told me he needed a hand. I helped them with checking in clients, keeping their work stations clean, doing laundry for towels, picking up lunch, and answering the phone to respond to questions and make appointments.
Volunteer Experience
Salvation Army
I volunteered here shortly from February-March 2020. I wanted to find a way to give back to the community and found that this organization was in need. They had many overflowing boxes of donations that they needed someone to go through, get rid of damaged items, put adequate items on hangers, and place them out on the floor in their correct spot.
Habitat for Humanity of Anderson
I volunteered here from January 2018-2019. I believe this is a wonderful organization who has done so much for the community of Anderson, particularly raising the funds to construct homes for those in need. I helped clean off and organize shelves, put new items out on the floor, polish silver, price ticket items, and more. I enjoyed getting to meet new people from the community.
